Together, We Are Better: Belong.
Flashback:
There are moments when I feel lost in isolation—when the world around me seems distant, and I wonder, Where is my other half? I am not meant to walk alone, yet here I am, in solitude. But if I’m truly honest with myself, I realize the deeper question isn’t about who is missing from my life, but whether I’ve forgotten who I am in the first place.
The world I see doesn’t always see me. It doesn’t always reflect the essence of who I am or who I aspire to be. The disconnect between what is and what should be feels like a barrier, leaving me questioning my place in it all. So, where should I go when I feel unseen? Where do I belong?
Belonging is not just about finding the right person or place—it’s about finding alignment with myself. It’s about recognizing my own value and understanding that true belonging begins within. If I can learn to belong to myself, then the world outside will eventually mirror that truth. The people who resonate with my essence, the places that nurture my spirit, they will come into focus when I align with who I truly am.
In this search for belonging, I must remember: It starts with me. The journey isn’t about searching for someone else to complete me; it’s about realizing that I am already whole. The question then becomes not, Where do I belong? but, How can I embrace the fullness of who I am and create a space where I can thrive?
